Scott’s Family Gul Burgers

2 lbs Lean Ground Beef

1 Egg

Salt & Pepper, to taste

2 tsp Paprika

1 tsp Garlic Powder

2 small Yellow Onions (or 1 large)

4 cups Chicken Broth

Sliced Mozarella Cheese

Hamburger Buns (preferably Onion or Kaiser Rolls)

4 tbsp Butter

In a bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Shape into 4-5 hamburger patties (they will be huge!).

Thinly slice the onions.

In a cast iron skillet or deep sauté pan, add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Add the hamburger patties and spread the onions around the patties.

Reduce heat to medium and allow the patties to simmer in the gently boiling broth until the edges are cooked. Flip the patties and cook to the desired doneness.

Top each patty with mozzarella cheese slices and allow to melt.

Spread the buns with butter and toast so they can hold up to the large hamburger patties!
