Note about Aldi: Ground beef is sold in larger quantities. Use one pound and freeze remaining ground beef for another week. Parsley was not available at the time the grocery list was created, we use dried parsley. Add to cart if you do not have it in your pantry already. Currently, you can’t buy just one lemon, you must buy a bag. If you won’t use a bag of lemons, buy bottled lemon juice that you can keep on hand.
Note: If an exact item isn’t available in your cart, you will get an alert at the top that that exact item is not available. Add another brand of that item
Tips for Getting Ahead
Saturday:
Print out all the recipes for the week.
Click on the link provided and add all the groceries to your cart for the store you would like to get groceries from.
Look through the meal plan table at the items provided in the cart and the presumed pantry items. If you do not have a pantry item make sure to add it to your cart.
Add any other groceries to your online cart that you need for the week (cereal, deli meat, bread, milk, etc).
Schedule a time to pick up your groceries tomorrow or have them delivered.
Read through the recipes and the “Getting Ahead Tips” to prepare for the week.
Sunday:
Make burger sauce for Monday’s dinner.
Chop up ingredients for Monday’s salad and store in the refrigerator.
Chop vegetable ingredients for Wednesday’s soup: 1 cup celery (1 inch pieces), 1 cup carrot (1 inch pieces), 1 cup onion (finely chopped), 1/2 tablespoon garlic (finely minced)
Freeze chicken.
The rest of the celery from the soup can be prepared as a side filled with peanut butter during Tuesday’s meal (or whenever you want to plug it in).
Extra carrots can be cut and placed in the fridge for quick snacks through the week.
Tuesday:
**Pork chops can also be cooked in the airfryer: Air fry at 380°F for about 10-15 minutes, or until the pork chops reach 145°F. Flip the pork chops half way through the cooking.
Follow the recipe for Chicken Pot Pie soup and load up the crockpot (or alternatively you could make it in an instant pot or stovetop on Wednesday). I’m going to throw mine in the crockpot and skip the sauteing the veggies).
Add all the frozen chicken bought this week to the crockpot. The extra chicken breasts will be pulled out tomorrow night, shredded, and placed in the refrigerator for Thursday’s quesadillas.
Wednesday:
Remove the extra chicken breasts from the crockpot. Shred them and put them in a container (or zip lock bag) and label for the quesadillas for tomorrow night's dinner.
