Tips for Getting Ahead
Saturday:
1. Print out all the recipes for the week.
2. Click on the link provided and add all the groceries to your cart.
3. Look through the meal plan table at the ingredients provided in the cart and the presumed ingredients. If you do not have a pantry item, make sure to add it to your cart.
4. Add any other groceries to your online cart that you need for the week (cereal, bread, milk, etc).
5. Schedule a time to pick up your groceries or have them delivered.
6. Read through the recipes and the “Tips for Getting Ahead” to prepare for the week.
Sunday:
Combine the onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper seasoning mix for the chicken thighs for Monday night in a plastic bag. This will save you time tomorrow so all you have to do is use it to season the chicken thighs.
Trim the green beans for tomorrow’s dinner.
Freeze the chicken breasts for Thursday’s Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches.
Monday:
Make the marinade for the pork chops for tomorrow’s dinner in a labeled zip lock bag.
Set an alarm in the morning to add the pork chops to the zip lock bag containing the marinade. This will allow the pork chops to marinate for approximately 8 hours.
Wednesday:
While the Skillet Caprese Chicken Casserole is cooking, load up the crockpot for tomorrow’s dinner.
Set an alarm to remind yourself to start the crockpot in the morning.
