Sarah’s Sausage and Vegetable Bake
Ingredients:
1 bag Baby Carrots
4-6 Red Potatoes, cut into 1 inch cubes
1/2 head Cabbage, chopped into 1 inch pieces
1 package Onion Soup
1 Beef or Turkey Kielbasa or Smoked Sausage, sliced
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Add carrots and potatoes to a 9x13 casserole dish.
Mix onion soup with 1/2 cup water and pour over potatoes and carrots.
Bake for 15 minutes while you brown the kielbasa/sausage.
Sauté kielbasa/sausage until browned.
Add kielbasa/sausage and cabbage to the casserole dish with the potatoes and carrots and bake uncovered for an 15-20 minutes, or until ready.
It’s ready when the carrots and potatoes are easily pierced with a fork or knife.
I found a small head of cabbage, so I used all of it instead of half of a big one.
Pour the soup mix and water over the potatoes and carrots, then this is ready for the oven.
Brown the kielbasa while the potatoes and carrots bake.
Add the kielbasa and cabbage and back in the oven it goes.
It’s done when you can easily pierce a potato and carrot with a fork.
