Asian Ground Turkey and Rice

Ingredients:

2 tbsp Oil

1 lb Ground Turkey

1 Bell Pepper, thinly sliced

1 Onion, thinly sliced

1/2 cup Soy Sauce

1 tsp Ginger, minced

1 tsp Garlic, minced

1 tsp Chili Garlic Sauce or Sriracha

Red Pepper Flakes, to taste

1/4 tsp Vinegar

1 tbsp Honey

Rice, cooked per package instructions

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a sauté pan over medium-high heat.

  2. Add ground turkey and break it up as it cooks.

  3. Once the turkey is browned and cooked through, remove to a plate or bowl and return the pan to heat.

  4. Add bell pepper and onion and sauté until softened.

  5. Add ground turkey back to pan and remaining ingredients to make a sauce. Cook 3-5 minutes, tasting for heat and seasoning.

  6. Serve over rice.

Browned the ground turkey and removed to a plate. Added bell pepper and onion to the pan.

Once the veg are softened (see the browns…that’s flavor!), add the ground turkey back to the pan.

Add the rest of the ingredients to make a sauce.

Mix it all together and cook for a few minutes. I snuck in some green onions because I had them in the fridge.

Serve over the rice.
